The DEI Change Management Workshop
This workshop demonstrates how to leverage the eight-step process for leading change popularized by Harvard professor Dr. John Kotter to deliver DEI change for organizations. We will overlay the change management framework with information from DEI specific texts. We will also utilize research from the Society of Human Resource Management, as many of the processes that we will seek to impact in the workshop are Human Resources processes. We will pause the presentation after each of the eight steps so that attendees can fill in the action plan worksheet that will be distributed to them at the beginning of the session. All attendees will leave with a completed DEI change management action plan.
-
Mitigating Bias

Attendees learn about the concept of privilege and how it manifests in society. Participants will explore ways to leverage their privilege as allies, learn effective strategies for advocacy, and practice skills for being an upstander against injustice.
